Reading Borough Council (RBC) has proposed changes to polling places and stations in Katesgrove and Whitley wards after the public consultation carried out in December.

These changes will be considered by RBC full council meeting on Tuesday 26 March.

The two polling places in Katesgrove ward at the Christchurch Centre on Milman Road are expected to merge. No comments were received from members of the public about this proposed change.

The returning officer Chris Brooks will investigate the need for an additional polling district and polling station in Whitley ward to serve the new housing developments to the west of Basingstoke Road and in Green Park. There were four public comments in the consultation about the need for a polling station in Kennet Island.

Two Whitley polling districts, for which the polling place is Whitley Park Primary School, could also be merged.
