The 2018 Reading half marathon will take place on Sunday 18 March. The anti-clockwise route starts in Green Park and ends at the Madejksi stadium.
A map of the route and a list of rolling road closures is available on the race website. The earliest closures are planned from 7am until 12.40pm on Mill Lane and the roads around the stadium which will be closed from 7am until 3pm.
Bus services will be disrupted and Reading buses have produced a downloadable leaflet summarising cancellations and diversions for the routes affected. Emerald 5 will not run from the town centre after 7.57am and in the opposite direction the last departure will be 8.38am. The last Emerald 6/6a from the town centre will be at 8am and from Whitley Wood/ Tesco at 8.49am. Services are planned to resume in the early afternoon after the race has passed through and roads reopened.
The Half Marathon in Katesgrove
The runners will cross into Katesgrove after the Abbey School on Kendrick Road and will remain in the ward until the route passes under the IDR at the Oracle roundabout.
