Consultation on parking studies in the University and Hospital Area

Group of Elite Runners

Kendrick Road where pay & display meters are proposed

Two Reading Borough Council consultations are taking place on proposed parking changes in the university and hospital area. The streets affected are in Redlands ward and along its boundaries.

In both cases, Reading Borough Council intends:

to introduce, remove or amend existing waiting restrictions and parking places either in the interests of safety or in response to demand. This has necessitated changing or revising existing traffic orders.

The proposed changes, include the introduction of pay & display meters in some areas, waiting time restrictions and new residents’ permit only sections.

In the first consultation, which ends on 9 June 2016, parking will be affected by the changes proposed in the university and hospital area parking study (reference CA/4562).

This includes changes in the following streets:

Alexandra Road
Allcroft Road
Eldon Square
Elmhurst Road

Lydford Road
Marlborough Avenue
Morgan Road
Pepper Lane
Redlands Road
