Aveley Walk

Volunteers from Reading Borough Council and Thames Water will be joining local residents in cleaning up Aveley Walk on Wednesday 16 September.

Reading Borough Council holds “River and Environmental Spaces Clean Up Events” (RESCUE) throughout the year. Volunteers from the local community are invited to help remove overgrown shrubs and weeds, pick up litter, and clear drains and gulleys.

“I’d urge residents to join our council staff and Thames Water volunteers to take part in this mini RESCUE event and help transform the look of Aveley Walk,” said Liz Terry, Reading’s neighbourhoods councillor.

The Aveley Walk clean up will take place from 10am until 3pm.
